The Royal Academy of Music has acquired an international reputation for producing the next generation of professional musicians – Nicola Bland chats to its Artistic Director and Head of Brass, Mark David.

Based in London, one of the World’s great music centres - the Royal Academy of Music’s Brass Department - has an international reputation for training the new generation of leading musicians. An unrivalled team of professors, most of whom hold principal positions in top orchestras and ensembles, is complemented by international visiting professors Reinhold Friedrich and Eric Aubier (trumpet), Radovan Vlatkovich (horn) and Jörgen Van Rijen (trombone). Academy alumnus and multiple international competition winner, Huw Morgan, has also become a regular visitor.
