Ev-entz - more than just percussion
Nicola Bland recently caught up with Ev-entz brass expert, Tom Hutchinson, to chat about the multi-faceted Ev-entz
Tom Hutchinson of Cory Principal Cornet fame was a tad down in the dumps when I caught up with him at the Butlin’s Festival in January, and it wasn’t just the cold of the bracing North Sea that was getting to him!
Tom is Ev-entz’s brass-related specialist and is fed up of the misconception that the Company is solely a percussion retailer/backroom stage hirer. “Well Tom,” I countered whilst picking up an Ev-entz ‘promo’ leaflet, “it doesn’t say anything on this leaflet about brass instruments and things, does it?” “No”, he conceded, “so I guess we need to do something about that.” “You could start by advertising in the greatest magazine in the international brass market for starters,” I suggested. “Great idea,” he replied. So here we are, Tom and I, keen as mustard to tell you all about Ev-entz and its brass-related business!
